The American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Water Works Association and Engineers Without Borders USA recently launched a new program to help tackle a serious and growing challenge in the United States: small, under served communities unable to afford the experts needed to meet basic infrastructure needs. “If you are interested in joining the Community Engineering Corps Team, then use the “How to Get Started in Volunteer Village” pdf to get started. Once you get your account set up in Volunteer Village, you can volunteer for projects in your area. These projects may be sponsored by the Kentucky/Tennessee Section AWWA or by American Society of Professional Engineers or Engineers Without Borders USA. The program is happy to work with engineering and other technical professionals as well as university-level students who make up our project teams and review committees.
